Butterflies

• Supplies
  • Coffee filters
  • Watercolor paints (or whatever you have)
  • Colored pipe cleaners
• Directions
  • Open up a single coffee filter on a painting surface
  • Have children pick their favorite colors and paint
    • Note: if using watercolors make sure to put something underneath the filters because the colors will bleed through
  • Let the filters dry for about 15-20 minutes
  • Gather it in the middle and pinch the backside (see picture below)
    
  • Take a pipe cleaner and wrap it around the center of the coffee filter a couple times to secure
  • Twist the ends to look like antennas
