Choctaw Nation Support for Expectant and Parenting Teens (SEPT)

The goal of the CNSEPT Program is to improve family health, education, social and safety outcomes for expectant and parenting teens and their babies by providing medically-accurate and comprehensive services including linkages to critical resources, ongoing support for health and education, and positive parenting relationship skills instruction using an evidenced-based, nationally validated model.

Enrollment Criteria:

Must be between the ages of 13-21,Participat myst be expecting or parenting a Native American child under the age of 1,Participant must live within the 10.5 county service area of the Choctaw Nation, Particpants myst be enrolled and attending an educational institution at the time of enrollment or within the first 6 months

Parents as Teachers

Get connected with a family support program staffed by specially trained professionals who teach parenting skills and child developments, as well as ways to reduce stress and nurture your child. We can connect you to other resources in your community in order to meet your family's needs.

Other services for young children in your community

SoonerStart Early Intervention

Services include evaluation services, case management, family training, counseling, and home visits, certain health services, nursing & nutrition services, occupational, physical, and speech-language therapy, and special instruction. Can be provided in home or at daycare.

WIC PLUS+

WIC PLUS+ is a program for families that combines WIC visits with the support of Child Development Specialist and the Parent Line. You will have the chance to ask questions about your child's development, learn about their skills and abilities, understand social emotional development and learn how to promote healthy behaviors that strengthen family relationships.
